Guarded Heart Bible College is a 501(c)(3) organization. We are an accredited non-denominational Bible College with the mission of providing affordable Biblical Education for ordinary people interested in earning a Bible Degree to further enhance their Ministry and to change the world for the Kingdom of God.

Accreditation

As a religious institution, GHBC legally operates in exemption from the requirements of post-secondary certification by the Missouri Department of Higher Education and is not licensed by an accrediting agency under the jurisdiction of the United States Department of Education. To ensure academic quality, private accreditation is in place with the Association of Independent Christian Colleges and Seminaries in the state of Missouri.

The studies offered by Guarded Heart Bible College are not in relation with the secular field of training or employment; all degrees offered are of a religious nature. GHBC was established to train men and women of God and equip them with the tools necessary to be mature, productive and functioning parts of the Body of Christ and to enhance their relationship with Jesus Christ.

Statement of Faith

  1. We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God given to men; it is the final authority in every area of life.
  2. We believe that there is one God eternally existent in three Persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
  3. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in his virgin birth, His sinless life, in His miracles, in His substitutionary and atoning death, in His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His Ascension to the right hand of the Father and in His personal return in power and glory.
  4. We believe that believing in Jesus Christ as one’s personal Lord and Savior is the one and only way for the salvation of the lost and sinful man.
  5. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, indwelling of the believer upon receiving Jesus Christ, as his personal Lord and Savior, and in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, which empowers the believer to be a living witness for Jesus Christ.
  6. We believe in the resurrection of the saved, and that they are saved to the resurrection of life with the Lord.
  7. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
  8. We believe in the Divine Healing, and that healing has been provided for, in the Atonement.
  9. We believe in sanctification by the blood of Christ, in personal holiness of heart and life, and in separation from the love of the world.

It is the mission of Guarded Bible College to create an academic and spiritual learning environment to Biblically mentor, equip, and release ordinary people who are willing to accept the challenge of advancement and excellence in the Kingdom of God.

The mission of Guarded Heart Bible College is, with simplicity to educate and equip ordinary individuals with skills and knowledge to promote and proclaim the Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The Administration and Faculty are committed to programs of study that are anchored in Scripture, committed to the established truths of historical evangelicalism and to meet the challenges and opportunities that come with guarding the heart. It is my heart’s passion to help people to not only have a deeper, but wider relationship with Jesus Christ.

Dr. Patricia D. Moore

Our Faculty & Staff

Dr. Patricia Moore is the founder and president of Guarded Heart Bible College which is an online bible college dedicated to biblical training. Dr. Moore serves as a Christian education coordinator and advisor to several churches. She has served in the Christian education ministry as director and teacher for over 30 years. Doctor Moore was an adjunct at International College of Bible theology and has served as a youth mentor and director for 15 years and written various curriculums for youth and adults.

Dr. Moore holds a Ph.D. in Theological Studies from Christian Bible Institute and Seminary, and a Masters in Christian Education from Cohen Institute. Her heart’s desire is to see people grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Professor O’Laughlin is an instructor at the Guarded Heart Bible College. He has earned his master’s in divinity with an emphasis in biblical languages at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has a master’s in TESOL from Lincoln Christian University. He as skills in Teaching • English • Curriculum Development • Tutoring • Public Speaking • Writing Skills.

Professor O’Laughlin has performed extensive missionary work, has taught and trained in ESL/EFL to all ages and level of English proficiency. Professor O’Laughlin has edited various books, articles and academic essays.

Dr. Alexander Ligons has worked in numerous church environments and have learned the criticality of effective leadership for transformation. Dr. Ligons has a strong background in IT and website design.

Dr. Alexander Ligons has earned his doctorate in theology at Higher Ground Christian Development Bible College and his masters in Christian studies at Anderson University, and business administration and management at North Greenville University.

Pastor Jamesetta Roach is the Senior Pastor of the Throne Room Worship Center in St. Louis, Missouri. Pastor Roach serves as an advocate for building healthy relationships, especially in marriage. She is the founder of Roach Counseling Care. She currently holds a Masters in Christian Counseling from Guarded Heart Bible College. She is a certified Christian Counselor and a Certified Temperament Therapist.

Dr. Aleta Johnson is a leader in the Anointed Word Church in Bridgeton Missouri. She has earned a doctorate degree in Christian Education from the International Bible Christian Theology and currently ministers as an evangelist within the St. Louis metropolitan area.

Archie Moore is the vice President of Guarded Heart Bible College. He is an elder at the Living the Word Church and leads several ministries within the church. Mr. Moore holds bachelor’s degree in business administration from UMSL in St. Louis, Missouri and has earned an associate degree in biblical studies from Guarded Heart Bible College in St. Louis, Missouri.
